Dr. Ali is board-certified and fellowship-trained in the treatment of several types of chronic pain. His treatment focuses on geriatric pain, low back and neck pain, spinal stenosis, herniated disc treatment, facet joint syndrome, cervical and lumbar radiculopathy, sciatica, musculoskeletal pain, diabetic neuropathy, neuropathic pain, joint pain, complex regional pain syndrome/reflex sympathetic dystrophy, shingles, failed back/post-laminectomy syndrome, and interventional pain management including spinal cord stimulation and kyphoplasty.

Dr. Leon Howard II is a licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. Currently, and for the past 10 years, he has worked as an adjunct professor in the Counseling Department at The University of Akron teaching a variety of courses, particularly the practicum course. In September, 2007, he joined the staff of the Falls Pain Management Center and continues now with the Center for Pain Medicine. He particularly values the comprehensive approach to pain medicine the Center embraces. At the Center, he provides and specializes in psychological consultation, crisis intervention, health and behavior assessments, as well as pain management psychotherapy. Services include psychological counseling, behavioral/cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and person-centered therapy. His areas of interest include the assessment and treatment of chronic pain, depression, mood disorders, and adjustment disorders.

Susan Iannicca, CNP, RD, CDE

Susan Iannicca serves as a certified nurse practitioner, diabetes educator and dietitian through the Department of Endocrinology, Hudson Specialty Center.  She has experience as a renal dietitian for Center for Disease Control dialysis centers to serve patients who need nutrition counseling. Iannicca holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Notre Dame College of Ohio, a Master of Science in Nutrition/Dietetic Internship from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine/Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center and a Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner from State University of New York at Stony Brook. She has formerly served at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Intensive Diabetes Management Clinic treating patients with diabetes and has spoken at symposiums, conferences, workshops and luncheons to educate on diet and nutrition and corresponding disorders relative to obesity and diabetes.

Dr. Kazmierski is a graduate of the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, Des Moines, Iowa, served residency at Brentwood Hospital in Warrensville Heights, Ohio and was fellowship-trained at Mt. Sinai Hospital of Cleveland. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists (FACOI).

He served his residency at SUNY Health Science Center in Syracuse, NY and served under fellowship at University of Pittsburg Medical Center. Dr. Klions is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Board of Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine. He is an American College of Chest Physicians Fellow and a member of both the American Thoracic Society and Society of Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Narouze has served as Pain Medicine fellowship director at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and holds board certifications in pain medicine, interventional pain management, headache medicine, and anesthesiology. He is a pioneer of ultrasound guided nerve blocks, which allows for greater safety for patients, and his clinical research has focused on pain management techniques for chronic headaches such as cervicogenic, cluster and migraine. Dr. Narouze has been published in numerous national and international pain journals, has authored and edited textbooks, and he serves as a visiting professor both nationally and abroad.

Dr. Tim Sable focuses on interventional and multi-disciplinary pain management, including spinal cord stimulation, for a variety of conditions including chronic back and neck pain secondary to spinal stenosis, herniated discs, facet syndrome, radiculopathies, sciatica and failed back surgery syndrome. He is also trained in the management of various other painful conditions including abdominal pain, joint pain, musculoskeletal pain, fibromyalgia, arthritis, chronic post-surgical pain and complex regional pain syndrome (RSD).

Dr. Gary Sipps joined the staff of the Falls Pain Management Center in 2006 and continues now with the Center for Pain Medicine at Summa Western Reserve Hospital. He values the multi-disciplinary team approach that the Center embraces and provides psychological consultation and evaluation, as well as pain management psychotherapy. His services include psychological counseling, hypnosis/ imagery/biofeedback, health and behavior assessments/ interventions, and psychological assessment. He has served as a faculty member for The University of Akron Department of Psychology (1981) and operated a full-time, private psychotherapy practice (1994).
Dr. Souzdalnitski
Dmitri Souzdalnitski, MD, PhD

Dr. Dmitri Souzdalnitski is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Anesthesiology, as well as ACLS certified. Souzdalnitski earned his medical degree at Irkutsk State Medical University in Irkutsk, Russia. He also studied Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Research Center in Moscow, Russia. He served a residency in Anesthesiology at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut, a residency in Internal Medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital of Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland, and served under fellowship in Pain Management at the Cleveland Clinic.

Souzdalnitski has received numerous high honors including the 2011 Cleveland Clinic Foundation Pain Fellow of the Year Award, the 2011 American Pain Society Award, and the 2009 American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine Award. Souzdalnitski is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the International Association for the Study of Pain, the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the American Pain Society, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Society for Education in Anesthesia, the New York School of Regional Anesthesia, and the American Medical Association.
